As reflected in our 50-State reopening map (see below), every state in the country has now gone green — reopening some or all sectors of their economies. Yet as predicted when we went live with that post several weeks ago, with spikes in the pandemic in states around the country, many states and localities are now hitting pause or pulling back on reopening. In fact, a map of increasing COVID-19 infections appears to have similarities to the 50-State reopening map. So we too are “hitting pause” on our map and shifting our focus — from tracking the reopening fits and starts around the country that have been now coming at a fast and furious pace — to focusing on the legal issues and risks faced by businesses across the economy as they navigate the COVID-19 reopening landscape in State Reopenings: The Blog. And not to worry, our map and state pages will remain live and a source of archival content in our ongoing closure/reopening journey.
